Instructions
Dev Branch is an experimental build that contains bugs and unfinished features. Please read the TESTING NOTES below to get a feel for things in the build that are known to be missing or broken.
How to get the build
Go to the BETAS tab on the Foxhole Steam Properties window and select "devbranch"
Select the LOCAL FILES tab and click "Verify Integrity of game files..."
On the "Join War" screen, select "DevBranch" from the drop down at the top right corner of the screen.
Reporting
Please post any bug reports or feedback to the devbranch-bugs and devbranch-feedback channels on the Foxhole Discord. Do not report bugs that are already known issues. Release notes will be updated as new builds are applied to the branch. Thank you!
Known Issues
Silverhand Lordscar Mk. X and H-10 "Pelekys" drivers can be killed.
Some Wrecked Parts on Aircraft can change back to full health Parts when being repaired.
KRR3-792 Auger and Clancy-Raca M4 are available in the Mass Production Factory.
Some new content have placeholder names and descriptions.
A51 Venti “Daedalus” pontoons lack collisions when the landing gears are up.
The firing arc of the rear MG on the Tulka P4 Welkinrive is overly generous
The Northwestern Island maps are missing some minor and major map markers
Release Notes
IMPORTANT: The following release notes are preliminary and in draft form. Some features/changes will change or be omitted before final release.
Orange bullet points are new as of the latest Dev Branch update.
New Features
Added a height indicator circle to the elevation lines of other Aircraft. The circle will only show the top half when the observed Aircraft is below you, and only the bottom half when the Aircraft is above you.
Up to 25 map tooltips can now be pinned open (Ctrl+A by default), displaying their information even when the cursor is not hovering over it.
Pins persist when closing the map, and between game sessions.
The 25 pin limit is per faction.
Stockpile deltas can be displayed, showing you how many supplies have been added or subtracted since the tooltip was pinned.
Current stockpile contents or the current stockpile delta can be copied to clipboard as a CSV for importing in to spreadsheets.
Crane shippable placement can now be overridden with Shift, allowing shippables to be placed near structure interaction areas.
Squad Leaders can now be seen on the map screen by Squad members within the same region.
Vehicles and structures that can be made at the Mass Production Factory can now be re-crated whilst in a stockpile via the context menu (RMB click).
Refinery order status is now shown in the Refinery's map tooltip.
Assembly Station production progress is now shown in the Assembly Station's map tooltip.
Battle Tanks, Super Tanks, the BMS Black Bolt, and the Tempest Cannon RA-2 can now be Anchored similar to Large Ships, preventing interaction with the vehicle until it is Unanchored.
BMS Black Bolt and Tempest Cannon RA-2 Squad Reservation time increased to 48 hours to accommodate Anchoring.
Vehicle Squad Reservation time is now displayed within the vehicle's UI.
BMS Black Bolt and BMS Mineseeker fuel gauges now accurately reflect how much fuel is remaining, similar to other vehicles.
The name of a repair target is now shown in the repair message.
Added an alert is sent to a player when their Map Post is deleted.
Added a Use Gate bind (unbound by default) that allows players to interact with gates specifically.
Reserve Stockpile owners are alerted 15 minutes before their stockpile is going to expire.
Aircraft can now be adversely affected by Storms, reducing their lift and max speed.
Gameplay Changes
The hit-registration algorithm has been expanded to Aircraft.
The server now accounts for the latency of the shooting player when attempting to hit Aircraft.
Dev Note: Aircraft will now be more easy to hit by all weapons and targeting of individual Parts of the Aircraft has been improved.
Lamentum mm.IV and Malone Ratcatcher Mk.1 can now toggle into Anti-Aircraft mode on any Tripod mount.
Expanded the walkable area of the K-81e “Sombre" to include the rear engine area.
Retrieve Custom amount increased from 15 to 30
Damaged vehicles can now be submitted to stockpiles.
Vehicles with damaged armour still need to have their armour repaired.
Vehicles must be over their disabled threshold to be submitted.
Fixed several issues with RPGs that made aiming inconsistent.
Increased the repulsion weight of Heavy Bombers. It will now be more difficult for Heavy Bombers to be pushed by lighter Aircraft.
Small Aircraft Parts
Can now be submitted and assembled by hand.
Engineer Uniforms can assemble them more quickly, and have a reduction to their weight.
14.5mm weapons can disable the Track subsystem of vehicles.
V-1 Tzykalia & Tulka P4 Welkinrive no longer take damage over time when flipped over with totalled parts.
Melee weapons no longer interrupt the player's sprint when performing a quick attack.
Added new recipes to the Concrete Mixer and the Refinery to convert Salvage into Gravel.
Enemy Storm Cannons, Intelligence Centers, and Weather Stations no longer appear on map intelligence.
Added a fallback exit for Small Trains to be used when the primary exit is obstructed.
Balance Changes
Aircraft Balance
Dev Note: Changes to hit-registration has greatly impacted the overall balance of Aircraft, both against each other and from ground Anti-Air. Balance iterations will be required as feedback on the changed state of Aircraft is provided.
All Aircraft Parts are now easier to wreck, but will take longer to become destroyed.

Communications Rating system changes
A user's comms rating is now updated when a threshold is reached.
A Poor comms rating no longer prevents World chat usage, instead adding a cooldown between messages.

Player names in Map Posts can now be right-clicked to show that player's context menu.
Player Ranks now start with a capital letter, and some abbreviations have been adjusted.
Small and large Railway Tracks no longer slow vehicles down when they cross roads.
Stockpile codes are obscured when typed with Streamer Mode enabled.
Stockpiles with only one category to filter by no longer show the 'all' category filter button.
Vehicles that can swap to Petrol now mention that Petrol can be used in the vehicle's tooltip.

BMS - Ironship

Adjusted Large Assembly Station UI vehicle ordering.
Added a tooltip to relevant vehicles that have reduced affects from Storms.
The Hangman 757 firing animation adjusted so it the character does not charge a bolt.

Road visuals
Several tweaks have been made to road visuals to improve their quality, and improve differentiating road tiers.
Added more variation to snowy road tiers.
Updated road decals to match the visuals of the new visuals.

Bug Fixes
General Bugs:
Reconnecting to a Shard after being disconnected during border travel puts the player in the Home Region rather than at their offline character ("Sleeper").
Border travel could fail unexpectedly in play sessions of over two hours.
Players are sometimes off-set or in the wrong stance when entering replication range.
Hit detection does not correctly account for players on dynamic bases such as vehicles.
Assembly of Aircraft Parts from an Aircraft after another player has removed said part is not interrupted.
Build ghosts can be used to detect hidden vehicles.
Fissura gd.I shoots directly ahead regardless of where the player aims when aimed at max range.
Character skin tone is not updated unless the sex is also updated.
Forest landscape foliage is not culled when Trenches and Bunkers are constructed over them.
Aircraft can be incorrectly restored to a Storage Depot, causing the Aircraft to be lost.
Large Items can end up in the player's backpack under some conditions.
Several small shrubs' stems animate inappropriately.
Many foliage collisions are too large compared to their visuals.
Alt+LMB inspections can be used to reveal hidden players, such as players obscured by bushes.
The stencil displayed when a character is obscured from the camera is missing the stencil over the character's feet.
Some town house ruins have collisions larger than expected vertically.
Some Unicode character sets became unsupported.
Structure Bugs:
Weather Station rotation and activation costs are higher than expected.
Materials Factory has a broken texture along the side of the structure.
When a Trench Connector is destroyed it can destroy shippables that are placed nearby.
SC-3 Aerial Interceptor Array is missing collisions at the centre of the structure when partially constructed.
Aircraft Depot
The roof flickers between hiding and revealing when driven through by a BMS - Universal Assembly Rig.
There is a stuck spot on the left side of the destroyed version.
Destroyed versions display an incorrect name in the reconstruction prompt.
Visual artifacts are present on one of the drawbridges when observed with low or medium graphics settings.
Build Sites can lose construction progress even if the damage dealt is 0.
Some Trenches have grey textures under some conditions.
Trench Intersection does not fully cull the landscape, causing shots to be obstructed.
A destroyed Aircraft Runway does not restrict nearby structure placement.
Artillery Garrisons retaliate against Bombers.
Aircraft Hangar ramp collision does not meet the Hangar's floor appropriately, obstructing some Aircraft taxing.
Map air intelligence updates are rarely not received if a Radio is equipped.
Pipelines can be constructed on the deck of the Bellweather by VAC.
Bunker Stairs modifications can change what side they are on when the Bunker is upgraded.
Some Trench modifications cannot be added if too close to a level's water.
Vehicle Bugs:
Colonial Trucks have veterancy camo applied to the windscreens.
R-12B "Salva" Flame Truck
Has flickering textures on the hand-pump.
Hose operator's hand is misaligned to the hand-pump whilst reloading.
UV-5c "Odyssey" antennae become disconnected from the vehicle when in motion.
BMS Overseer Sky-Hauler hook visually disappears when rotated at certain angles.
Type B - “Lucian” turret rotates on destruction.
Heavy items are placed into a vehicle's inventory when cancelling stockpile assembly as another player adds said items to the stockpile.
K-81e “Sombre", 68A-4 Ronan Fathomer, and Conqueror MGs are missing bullet casings from their firing VFX.
Rinnspeir Ornitier-Class Gunship rear box handle rotates when the fore turret rotates.
Rinnspeir Mk. I Zealot
Tail elevators are missing.
Standing passengers are not killed when the Aircraft is destroyed.
Strider build site is too far from the Shipyard.

Some props around the midship do not have collisions.
There are several visual issues with the MG gunners.
Mercy
Aircraft mounted on the catapults disappear on rare occasions after border travel.
Aft catapults display the azimuth incorrectly to the operator.
Cranes can sometimes become inoperable when interacting with a shippable at a height other than sea level
It is not fully hidden when observed by fully-submerged Submarines.
Several seats on small ships have dismount locations that are outside of the seat's mount area.
BMS - Longhook and BMS - Bluefin do not detect Aircraft whilst anchored.
BMS - Longhook turret visually faces the wrong direction when engaging enemies.
V-1 Tzykalia
Cannot reverse when the rear-gun is occupied in some conditions.
Bombardier does not have a prompt to toggle the bomb bay doors.
Failure message for attempting to lower landing gear whilst the bomb bay doors are open erroneously refers to attempting to enter cruise mode.
V-5b Pegasus ramp has stretched textures when a specific part slot has a wrecked part.
Tulka P4 Welkinrive
Top turret glass becomes opaque at some camera angles.
Part of the fuselage is missing collisions, allowing players to walk through the Aircraft.

Wheels visually spin too fast.
Turning on water is poor unexpectedly.
Tulka I1.9 White Raven vehicle class has a spelling mistake.
Aircraft pilot weapons have no reload SFX.
