Game Programmer

We are looking for a skilled and motivated programmer to join the engineering team to develop innovative massive multiplayer online games for PC. You must be able to independently solve complex technical problems and work effectively in a team environment.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 4 years of C or C++ experience

  • A solid understanding of linear algebra and geometry

  • Experience with multithreaded programming

  • Knowledge of basic networking principles

  • Self motivated and able to solve problems independently

  • Ability to take on multiple roles and adapt to changing project conditions

  • Ability to take criticism with a positive attitude and able to work well in a team environment

  • Passion for military themes and games

Desired
 
  • Experience with console or PC game development

  • Experience with Unreal Engine 4

3D Modeler

We are looking for a 3D modeler and level designer to join the Foxhole team. You will work with artists on the team to visualize an expansive and rich world for Foxhole. The ideal candidate has extensive experience designing, modeling, and texturing a diverse visual range of in-game vehicles, characters, and props. Whether creating vehicles, rocks or tiling textures  this person has a solid grasp of form, color, and lighting for both 2D and 3D art assets, to help bring the unique Foxhole universe to life. The ideal candidate should also have skill in at basic rigging and animation, and level design for massively multiplayer games. Technical artist skills is an additional plus.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering high quality vehicles, weapons, and props

  • Sculpt and plan modular environment pieces

  • Create Tiling environmental textures found in the Foxhole world

  • Work closely with art leads to drive home the artistic vision of the project

  • Level design for massively multiplayer pvp games

  • Scripting and/or technical artist tasks

  • Helping to manage our community, and playtest regularly

Requirements
 
  • Bachelor's degree in related field.

  • At least 1-2 years experience in game development as an artist specializing in organic/natural and hard surface modeling using Maya/Max, Photoshop, Zbrush/Mudbox, Unreal Engine 4, Substance Designer and Substance Painter

  • 1-2 years of Level design for massively multiplayer games

  • Understanding of form, shape, structure, and silhouette in regard to modeling

  • Exceptional understanding of next-generation asset creation pipelines and tools including PBR rendering

  • Skill in one or more related disciplines: animation, visual effects, or technical art

  • Ability to take criticism with a positive attitude and able to work well in a team environment

  • Enthusiasm for working on an Early Access game, where game content is produced and released on a regular basis

  • Passion for military themes and games

3D Generalist

We are looking for a 3D generalist that is passionate about strategy war games to join the Foxhole team. You will work with artists, programmers, and designers to visualize an expansive, top-down open world. As part of a tight-knit indie team, you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of tasks including modelling, animation, rigging, UI design, and VFX.

Clapfoot offers the unique studio experience of collaborating with a tight-knit team on massively multiplyer, persistent world games. You will be working in a fast paced environment with an established pipeline and expected to deliver assets for regularly scheduled game updates. You will also be encouraged to take ownership of one or more areas of game development on the team and expected to become an integral part of Foxhole's growth in the years to come.

Responsibilities

  • Modelling/sculpting vehicles, weapons, props, and environment assets

  • Rigging and animating models and characters

  • UI design

  • Creation of VFX

  • Adopt existing pipeline workflows and programs (3ds Max, Substance Painter and Designer, Photoshop, UE4)

  • Delivering content on a regular and frequent production schedule

  • Interacting with a large, active community who are deeply passionate about Foxhole
